The Atlanta Shabbat Project begins tonight with The Great Big Challah Bake (sorry, sold out). Approximately 600 Jews and challah lovers will crowd the Marcus Jewish Community Center of Atlanta to mix their ingredients, knead their dough and braid their future holy Shabbat bread. In addition, communities in over 60 countries will be doing the exact same thing. With the High Holydays behind us, we're primed for a HUGE October (11 events!) that features two big new events for AJMF: the Atlanta Kosher BBQ Competition and The Atlanta Shabbos Project. Limmud Atlanta+Southeast's signature, multi-day retreat of learning, culture and community, LimmudFest '15 was an incredible success! Approximately 300 Jews, mostly from Atlanta and the surrounding SE states, visited camp Camp Ramah Darom for this premier weekend of networking and togetherness. LimmudFest '15 featured live music performances by Kirtan Rabbi, Sammy Rosenbaum, Sunmoon Pie and The Baal Shem Tones. You can see pictures from their performances here.
