We're incredibly excited to welcome Atlanta Jewish Academy student Shira Solomon to our AJMF7 team as an intern! We asked Shira to share her thoughts about joining AJMF: Hey y’all! My name’s Shira Solomon, I’m a senior in high school, and I’m super excited to join the AJMF team as an intern! I’ve always been on the search for some kind of outlet to get involved in music while still maintaining my Jewish identity, and have realized this is an incredibly rare combination. So when I heard about AJMF and its mission...

Local artist and AJMF board member, Sammy Rosenbaum released his debut album "We Are The Ones" today! Sammy's roots are steeped in his Jewish faith, using Hebrew and biblical text as inspiration, and his musical style pushes into a modern folk/funk groove. The album's name was inspired by a sweat lodge session of singing and telling stories. The shaman instructed, “Repeat after me. We Are The One’s We’ve Been Waiting For. We repeat the mantra three times. The words take on new meaning with each repetition." Learn more about Sammy through his interview with...

This week, we took over ATL Collective's Instagram to celebrate our favorite classic albums by Jewish musicians AND give away two tickets to their upcoming show recreation Paul Simon's Graceland. Here are the other classic Jewish albums we highlighted alongside Simon's iconic collaboration of American and African musicians. The Broadway Album (1985) is the 24th studio album from director, composer, actress and singer Barbara Streisand. It marked a major shift in Streisand's career, from years of rock and disco oriented songs to musicals and singing standards. The Broadway Album is her 6th...

As we leave season 6 (July 2014- June 2015) in the past, we have six reasons to be excited for the successes and milestones of AJMF6. 1. We engaged 13,000+ attendees, the first time ever we reached a five figure fanbase for year-round programming. 2. We produced or co-produced 50+ events, our most productive season yet. 3. We had growth from new partnerships with visiting teen conventions, increased synagogue collaborations and large community events. 4. We nurtured continuing programs like the Molly Blank Concert Series at The Breman, the Jazz at the J series...

We are thrilled to continue our multi-year partnership with Fulton County Arts & Culture (FCAC) and the Fulton County Board of Commissioners! These bodies serve as primary contacts for cultural programs and services support to Fulton County based nonprofit arts organizations and Fulton County residents. Sponsorship from Fulton county agencies enables AJMF to continue to expand programming in Fulton County, for both Jewish and non-Jews. Like our partners, we believe the arts are essential to the quality of life of our citizens and to the economic and social health of our communities. For more...

Our collaboratively created, welcoming and diverse community reflects our city at large: Jews from many different backgrounds, partners in interfaith relationships, people exploring Judaism or in the process of becoming Jewish, and Jews of all ages and affiliations who seek meaningful...
