AJMF9 Opening Night

The 9th annual Atlanta Jewish Music Festival (AJMF9) begins with a celebration of Yiddish classics, Klezmer dances and more from the Ashkenazi tradition performed by virtuosic duo Tsvey Brider and internationally acclaimed group Beyond the Pale.

Diverse idioms, styles and periods contrast and combine in Tsvey Brider (Two Brothers, Anthony Russell and Dmitri Gaskin), creating contemporary, idiosyncratic and unique interpretations of music in the Yiddish language.

Beyond the Pale is one of Canada’s most innovative and exciting acoustic roots ensembles. Klezmer and balkan styles serve as the point of departure for their genre-defying sound, which is shaped by everything from jazz and classical music to bluegrass and reggae.

$20-$36, 6:00 doors, 7:30 PM music
